The coming's and going's of the Leshos. Never a dull moment. D-day is finally behind us, and that is Deployment Day in case you are wondering. It has been hanging over our heads for forever and 3 years it would seem. So a week before deployment day, we get confirmation that Daddy is leaving.
We had a good visit with the family before BJ had to head down range, but there's nothing that can prepare you for kissing your hubby good bye, or see you soon! The week leading up to Tuesday was just terrible-stressful and busy. But I ended up taking BJ to the airport and we had a pretty nice casual morning. Saying bye to Daddy was not easy. I'm pretty sure leaving Mitch was pretty much like pulling his heart out and stopping on it, but at least that's over now.
The airport was nice and let me accompany BJ to the gate. We got to sit and chat and snuggle for awhile, until they called for boarding. Yikes, it finally hit me. Well after a sad goodbye, a little extra time in the car to compose myself, a great big McDonalds milkshake, and a fast ride home thanks to the Mini, the day came to an end. Sherry kept Mitch throughout the day and fortunately he went right to bed like a sweet boy! It has been 3 days, and I'm finally feeling better. We've been able to Skype and a good shower didn't hurt either:) I decided it was ok to mope around for a little while.
I included a few picture of Mitch playing with Daddy, and hanging out with the family. He's been a sweet boy lately, and mischievious one. It looks like toddler rails are in our future as Mitch climbed out of his bed and scared the baby Jesus out of me when I realized he was coming out of his room and running down the hall to come and see me.
