Busy Month and first 5K with Mommy

We have had a busy month. October has been good and I can't believe it's almost over. We started off the month with a trip to see Daddy at his airshow. It was pretty close to our home town, so BJ was excited to see family friends and show them the jet. Mitch was such a good boy, he was quite a trooper and had fun visiting the Grandma's. Mommy discovered the key to traveling with baby...start early. We got on the road as soon as Mitch woke up and he slept a good bit of the way making for a happy trip for all of us.

We've been very busy the last week. We got to hang out with our neighbors and have a little play date. Mitch loves his buddy and they play so well together. I must say...no twins for me. As much as I loved having both babies, when it came time for both babies to eat, I needed an extra arm. But after lunch they both went down for naps and all was quiet on the eastern frontier.

This morning Mitch and I went out to run our first official 5K with our friends. Mitch came along for race for the cure in April, but Daddy hung out with him. So this morning, we loaded up the jogger and set out. We had a great time. We finished in 27:58, not a bad time for pushing the baby jogger. Our friend Kelly was born with fire in her Adidas and finished in 20:02, we're not jealous-much. She won overall female this morning, Go Kelly!

After the race, I set up baby jail for Mitch. I pulled the coffee table over past the couch so he couldn't get out of the living room. Imagine my surprise when I see the little stinker climbing through the coffee table, and laughing the whole way. The picture is below to prove it. Then I get him out of his predicament of actually getting all the way through and he starts heaving himself up over the coffee table. Didn't get a picture of that one, since I got to him just in time to catch his fall. I'm in trouble, one day I'm going to turn around and catch him climbing the kitchen counters.
