17 weeks, holy cow! Will someone please slow down the time.
Sometimes I pick up Mitch only to hold back the overwelming urge to give him a big squeeze. So I make it a great big, baby squeeze. He is just so adorable and sweet. He is such a happy boy, and I just love his antics. Like, how he grunts and groans when he is concentrating really hard. I love watching him try to grasp something and then grunt when he misses, but get so excited when he grasps it.
It is so cool to watch him and to try to imagine some things through his eyes seeing things for the first time. He is always watching and taking everything in, he also seems very perceptive. I was on the phone with Wells Fargo, stressed out, and all he wanted to do was lay on my shoulder. I needed it just as much as he did. Sometimes he just stands there with his little head back and forth watching the world.
Last night I got my first full nights sleep since before I got pregnant. When I was pregnant, I was up every three hrs to go to the bathroom. I slept for 8 hrs. Mitch slept for a little over 9. It was so awesome, that I'm still up writing this blog. I went out for a run, cleaned my floors, did a few chores and then went over to Shonda's. Whoo-hoo for a full nights sleep. Not a baby night which is 5 hrs, but a Momma night, which is at least 8. Maybe he'll do it again. If not, I'll remember what it was like to sleep for 8 hrs for the first time in almost a year!
